Fans were thrilled as the Kansas City Chiefs staged a second-half comeback, defeating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime. The Chiefs achieved a historic milestone by securing back-to-back Super Bowl championships, a feat accomplished only once in the past two decades by the New England Patriots.

Kansas City has secured its fourth Super Bowl victory, marking its third win in the last five years. The Chiefs previously claimed their first Super Bowl title back in 1969. Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback, was named Super Bowl MVP, an honor he has received after each of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl wins in the past five years.
Of course, overjoyed fans took to social media to celebrate the Chiefs’s Super Bowl Victory. “Chiefs Kingdom, we just won back-to-back Super Bowls. Celebrate accordingly. GOOD NIGHT,” the Chiefs’ X (formerly Twitter) account posted.
“Chiefs Kingdom reigns supreme with back-to-back Super Bowl victories! Party on, champions!”, a fan proclaimed. “Amazing Victory, What a celebration,” another fan chimed in. “Gimme pics of Taylor Swift with the Super Bowl ring NOW!!!!” a Swiftie NFL watcher gushed.
Other fans were already looking ahead to the next Chiefs Super Bowl win. “We have been hammering to get the six for 5 straight year. Let’s get back up and get stronger,” one fan wrote.
Other NFL Fans Were Throwing Shade After the Chiefs’ Super Bowl Win
Meanwhile, other fans are not taking the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win very well. As fans rejoiced in the victory, it also ignited a fiery debate among social media users.
Some speculated that the game was so perfectly scripted in favor of the Chiefs, it could have won an Oscar. Adding to the rumor mill is that the team’s tight end, Travis Kelce, is romantically linked to pop superstar Taylor Swift.
On X, popular online streamer Adin Ross wrote that the “49ers deserved that win. It’s so rigged I hope you guys can see it for what it is, truly rigged. Chiefs you guys got so lucky Taylor Swift bailed you guys out.”
Other Super Bowl watchers agreed with Adin, writing “rigged obviously we knew they were going to win weeks ago.” Another fan agreed that Swift’s presence at games ensured a Chiefs Super Bowl victory. “U should have know the second it took off months ago. First time I saw her there I knew the chiefs would win,” they wrote.
In a “perhaps social media has gone too far” moment, even President Joe Biden got in on the fun. Biden’s official X account mocked Super Bowl conspiracy theorists, playfully implying that he did indeed rig the big night.
Swift’s unpopularity at games seems to stem from her political activism. She openly endorsed President Joe Biden during his 2020 campaign and voiced criticism towards former President Donald Trump.
