While showing off her plastic surgery transformation, Gypsy Rose Blanchard opens up about the “hope” she now has after surviving her infamously traumatic childhood.

In a post on TikTok, Blanchard shared a side-by-side then-and-now snap from when she was forced to be wheelchair-bound and posing with some stuffed animals while standing outside Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. The photo was from 2009 when she was 18 years old.
The other photo features a modern-day version of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, which reveals her plastic surgery transformation.
“Stay positive, there is always hope,” she captioned the post. She also used Alolyssa’s Scars to Your Beautiful in the post’s background.
Gypsy Rose endured years of abuse at the hands of her mother and was named a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy at the age of 23, She conspired with her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn to kill Dee Dee.
On June 9, 2015, Godejohn entered the Blanchard’s home and stabbed Dee Dee 17 times. Following the murder, Gypsy Rose and Nicholas took off. They were later found by authorities and charged with Dee Dee’s murder.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard was found guilty of second-degree murder and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. She was granted early parole last summer. She was released from prison in Dec. 2023.
Meanwhile, Godejohn was found guilty of first-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Recently Called Out ‘The VIew’ Co-Host Sunny Hostin for Turning On Her
Earlier this month, Gypsy Rose Blanchard spoke to TMZ about how The View co-host Sunny Hostin had turned on her.
This was after Hostin criticized Blanchard last week by continuously stating she “murdered” Dee Dee. Hostin then questioned how any man could fall in love with Gypsy Rose.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard responded to the criticism by telling TMZ that Hostin was nice to her when they met. “Her comments are weird because she was so nice to me on The View,” Blanchard said. “She was so understanding and sweet and wished me nothing but the best. Everyone was so supportive. I wonder why she turned on me.”
Blanchard appeared on The View weeks after she was released from prison. Along with slamming Gypsy Rose and referring to her as a “killer” Hostin criticized the 32-year-old ex-con for rekindling her romance with ex-fiancé Ken Urker.
“She killed her mom,” Hostin declared. “I don’t know how you then start writing letters to her and then sleep next to her as the husband without one eye open. She killed a loved on. I just don’t understand the whole fascination.”
Gypsy Rose Blanchard was previously married to Ryan Anderson. The couple got married in 2022 while she was still in prison. Three months after her release, the couple called it quits.
Blanchard recently revealed that she and Urker are back together.
