A 2017 interview with Diddy on The Wendy Williams Show is resurfacing once again as the now-infamous rap mogul remains behind bars for his alleged sex trafficking crimes.

During the interview, Williams appears to be nervous after Diddy reveals he had met her son, who was 16 years old at the time.
Diddy had mentioned the meeting while chatting about his film Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop. He explained that he did not release the movie because of money, but because he wanted to share a “happy ending” for the black community.
“And let me tell you something, as the mother of a now 16-year-old -” Williams started to say as Diddy interrupted her, “Mhm, who I met backstage, he’s a great young man.”
Wendy Williams then quickly thanked Diddy before appearing to be flustered. “You, you represent a lot to a lot of people in general. I mean you’re an example to people who aren’t black, like “Yes we can, yes we can,’” she continued. “You’re an example to boys, like your boys, my boys, their boys, boys in general.”

Diddy was arrested in New York City earlier this month and was charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Prior to the semi-awkward 2017 interview, Diddy and Wendy Williams were at odds with one another. In her 2004 memoir The Wendy Williams Experience, Williams accused Diddy of playing a role in her 1998 Hot 97 radio show firing.
However, despite the accusation, Williams and Combs were able to put their feud to rest. During the same 2017 interview, Williams declared, “I know I piss off a lot of people, including you, but this is a full circle moment.”
Wendy Williams Questioned Diddy and His Breakup With Cassie Ventura
Two years before her 2017 interview with Diddy, Wendy Williams had questioned the split between him and his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
At the time, reports were coming in that Ventura had been trying to avoid Diddy following the breakup. However, Williams warned Ventura about trying to fully escape from Diddy.
“You know, my thing about when you date a mogul, is, that it’s really difficult to avoid them,” William explained. “Because if you use your head, you never know when they’re going to pop up on the scene. He’s a mogul! Like, he can hire a plane right now, zoom it to South Africa, land on the roof of the hotel where she’s staying, pay people off at the front desk, ‘Give me the key and let me up in her room.’”
Wendy Williams then admitted she was “already paranoid” and felt her paranoid would get worse if she dated someone like Diddy. “To know somebody could actually swoop down on me in the middle of nothing would scare the bejesus out of me! It would, it would,” she added.
