The lyrics to “thanK you aIMee,” which many believe is about Kim, start with the following lyrics.
“When I picture my hometown / There’s a bronze spray-tanned statue of you / And a plaque underneath it / That threatens to push me down the stairs at our school.” She seemingly compares the subject of the song to a hometown bully who still haunts her.
In the past, Kim and Taylor had a controversial relationship. In fact, their feud came to a head when Kanye West, Kim’s then-husband, released a song with the lyrics, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that b—ch famous.” He also used a fake lookalike of a naked Taylor in his music video.
When Taylor claimed she did not approve of Kanye’s lyrics and video, Kim released an out-of-context, potentially edited phone call with Taylor to try to make it seem like she was lying. Kim then tweeted shortly after:
“Wait it’s legit National Snake Day?!?!? They have holidays for everybody, I mean everything these days!”
In Taylor’s new song, “thanK you aIMee,” Taylor dives deep into her feelings regarding her feud with Kim. She does not hold back while expressing how difficult it was on her during that time.
“Everyone knows that my mother is a saintly woman, but she used to say she wished that you were dead,” Taylor sings. “So I pushed each boulder up that hill. Your words were still just ringing in my head, ringing in my head.”
Taylor Swift Fans Identify Bronze Spray-Tanned Statue From Kim Diss Track
Swifties are convinced they found the “bronze, spray-tanned statue” referenced in “thanK you aIMee.”
One Swiftie posted on X that she believes the reference statue was “Athena Parthenos,” which is located in Centennial Park near downtown Nashville.
This statue is especially relevant because it features a massive snake, which — as mentioned earlier — Kim used to describe Taylor during their feud.
Many X users also joked that the lyric fit Kim perfectly, posting photos of a poorly-tanned bronze-looking Kim.
Another X user wrote, “‘tall bronze spray tanned statue’ like who else is notoriously known for her bad spray tans and having a big reputation that has done taylor dirty.”
