Indeed, Chloe Fineman’s time as a camp counselor didn’t end well. The comedian left her Saturday Night Live castmates reeling (and a bit uncomfortable) after recounting the questionable tale of her unceremonious departure from the high school gig.
During a revealing game of Vanity Fair‘s “Game Show,” Fineman posed a tantalizing two-parter to her co-stars Mikey Day, James Austin Johnson, Ashley Padilla, Sarah Sherman, and Jane Wickline: “What job was I fired from and later rehired by? Bonus: Why was I fired?”
“Definitely racially insensitive comments,” Day shot back.
“How old were you?” Padilla questioned, with Fineman answering, “I was 16.”
Her SNL castmates threw out a few theories, including restaurant and retail gigs, before Fineman finally spilled.
“I was fired as a camp counselor,” Fineman revealed.
Day offered up, “For hitting on the campers?” before Fineman bluntly revealed the truth.
“No, I pantsed a boy,” Fineman explained.
Fineman’s revelation visibly shocked her fellow SNL stars.
“Oh, honey, I think you’re on a list somewhere,” a stunned Padilla let go.

“He wasn’t wearing underpants,” Fineman added, digging her hole even deeper. “And then a giant school bus drove by. And they were like, ‘You can’t’ — ’cause he would lift my shirt at the time.”
“What is happening?” a shocked Johnson managed.
“It was Berkeley!” Fineman blurted in an attempt to defend her actions.
Details of Chloe Fineman Pantsing a Child as a Teen Further Disturb Her ‘SNL’ Castmates
However, further details from the child pantsing incident would only disturb Fineman’s SNL castmates more.
“How old was the child?” Day asked.
“He was like 6,” Fineman admitted.
Padilla gasped, covering her mouth at the revelation.

“No, it was a different time!” a defensive Fineman, 37, tried to explain. “Like, he would be like, ‘Hey, can I have a hug?’ And I’d go to hug him, and then he’d lift my shirt, like a dick.”
“I was like, ‘I’m gonna get back at you,'” Fineman recalled, attempting to justify the shocking act of retaliation on the young child. She then went on to name her pantsing victim. “And so we were on a hike, and I was like, ‘Hey, Ollie, go over there. It’s a hawk!’ And he looked, and then I yanked his pants down. He wasn’t wearing underwear.”
“His little ding-a-ling was out,” Fineman added, “and then these two twins were like, ‘Ollie, I didn’t know you didn’t wear underwear!’ And then I was fired.”
‘SNL’ Fans React to Chloe Fineman’s Tale of Pantsing a Child as a Teen
Needless to say, many SNL fans who watched the video were shocked by Fineman’s tale, especially since it was presented as a funny story. A Reddit thread discussing the clip is full of comments criticizing the star.
“The fact she didn’t say the age until she was explicitly asked and then tried to excuse it by saying ‘it was a different time’ said everything I needed to know about her,” one top comment read. “I was a camp counselor 30 years ago, and you bet my a— would be gone for this. Different time, my a—. She’s lucky she didn’t get charges brought up,” another Reddit user added.
“‘Oh honey, I think you’re on a list somewhere’ right off the bat, before it just started getting worse and worse,” yet another Reddit user offered.
Others were happy that Fineman’s SNL cast members pushed back at the alleged humor of the story.
“And the fact that Ashley Padilla was mortified the entire time shows us everything we need to know about her. Long live Ashley Padilla!” one SNL fan wrote.
“Mikey Day looks like he wants to be transported to literally anywhere but this room,” another onlooker observed.
It seems Fineman’s attempt at humor missed the mark, leaving many to wonder if some stories are better left untold.
