In the post, Janelle said she’s been brought to tears over the news she received from High Country Human City and Ark Cat Sanctuary.
“I’m being told about everyone’s donations to High Country Human and Ark Cats Sanctuary in Garrison’s name,” she wrote. “Thank you all for your generosity. It means so much.”
Janelle Brown also wrote that the cats Garrison adopted from both agencies were so important to him. “He loved being a cat dad,” she added. Janelle then shared a series of photos featuring Garrison with his cats.
Garrison reportedly passed away on March 5. He was 25 years old at the time of his death. Janelle Brown, who shared Garrison with ex-husband Kody, announced his passing in an Instagram post.
“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown,” Janelle wrote. “He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
TMZ reported at the time that police discovered Garrison dead in his Arizona home. His brother Gabriel called authorities after finding him non-responsive. Garrison previously stated that he had a strained relationship with his father Kody.
“Since I last talked to Dad, I bought a house,” he one said during a Sister Wives episode. “I’ve gotten into school and I got the car that I wanted, that he told me I should never get.”
Janelle Brown’s Son Garrison Adopted a Cat Days Before His Death
Just before he passed away, Janelle Brown’s son Garrison took to Instagram to announce he had adopted a cat named Ms. Buttons.
“Newest edition to my home, Ms Buttons,” Garrison wrote. “She’s 9 years old and was on the line for euthanasia but my savior complex couldn’t suffice.”
Along with sharing some pics of the cat, Garrison wrote and used the hashtag #crazycatlady at the end of the post. It appeared Garrison had three cats at the time of his death.
After his death was announced, Garrison’s followers quickly took to the post to ask where he donated the feline. “If anyone knows what cat rescue organization Garrison worked with, please share the name so we can all donate in his honor,” one follower wrote.
Another added, “I donated to my local cat rescue in his honor. Please consider donating to the cat rescue in your local area so we can help cats nationwide/worldwide. I believe this act would bring a smile to his face, and maybe a little comfort to his family knowing others are spreading kindness in his name.”
