While celebrating his 33rd birthday, Brown took to Instagram and posted a video of himself singing the birthday song while wearing clown makeup and a birthday hat.
“Happy birthday / happy birthday / happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy birthday,” Sean “Diddy” Combs’ son declared in the song. “I’m wishing me a happy birthday / Wishing myself a happy birthday / ’cause it’s my birthday.”
It didn’t take long for critics to share their thoughts about the post. “You’re [too] fine to be cringy,” one critic wrote.
Another couldn’t help themselves by declaring, “Quincy… what in the actual f— is this?”
Others tried to justify the video’s randomness. “He is a Gemini,” one Instagram user wrote. “He is being transparent it’s a circus right now, he is happy and sad. Let him express damn. Happy Blessed days ahead.”
A follower then stated, “Would it hurt y’all to just say Happy Birthday dang! He’s probably already going through enough.”
Amid the criticism, Brown’s siblings praised him for the post. His 17-year-old twin sisters, Jesse and D’Lila, commented, “NEW BIRTHDAY SONG!!!!!” and his brother Christian wrote, “🔥🔥🔥 movie!”
After posting the cringy video, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ son posted throwback pictures of himself wearing the same clown makeup while celebrating his birthday. Which made some fans react with, “makes sense.”
Sean “Diddy” Combs adopted Quincy when he was in a relationship with Kim Porter. His biological father is Al B. Sure! Porter died of pneumonia in 2018.
Brown (whose real name is Albert Joseph Brown III) has long considered himself the son of Diddy.
Diddy has seven children.
Quincy Brown Once Revealed What He Has Learned From Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
Last year, Quincy Brown opened up to PEOPLE about what he has learned from his adopted father, Sean “Diddy” Combs, over the years.
“I think I’ve been a sponge, and now I do so much,” Quincy, who is also a rapper, explained. “One of my passions, I’m very much into the art of acting, and then there’s music. But just seeing how my pops is able to handle and juggle all these things, I took that from him as my most major takeaway.”
He further spoke about he and his siblings going on tour with his father back in the day. “I think my pops felt safer with us there, no matter what it was. He needed his family there, and I think having your kids as your road dogs was a win-win. It made everything go better,”
Following the now infamous raids at Combs’ homes in March 2024, Al B. Sure! tried to encourage his son to “come home.”
“#LettertoMySon!” Al B. Sure! wrote on Instagram with a picture of him and Quincy. “Come home. The [door] is wide open. You’re safe here, son! I love you, Popz, Your Biological.”
