With the Florida prison facility where Todd Chrisley is serving his sentence set to close down soon, the reality TV star’s daughter, Savannah Chrisley, says his future remains unclear. During the latest episode of her Unlocked podcast, Savannah opened up about the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, where Todd is serving his 12-year sentence, closing. Although the news isn’t bad, she admitted she was unsure what’s next for her father.

“It’s a bittersweet feeling,” Savannah explained. “I am happy it’s closing down because no human being should be subjected to the conditions or treatment that that facility gave. I’m sad that it’s closing down because I don’t know where he’s gonna go, I don’t know where they’re gonna try and put him.”
In a recent press release, the Federal Bureau of Prisons announced it was making “every effort” to place adults in custody (AIC) in facilities that are within 500 miles of their intended release location.
Savannah Chrisley then stated that if Todd isn’t placed in a nearby facility, it will be due to alleged “pure retaliation” from a facility employee who she claims hates her father.
“I hope and pray they abide by that policy,” Savannah continued. “Because if not, you guys know I will fight tooth and nail.”
The closest neighboring institution to the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola is in Marianna, which is two hours away.
Todd Chrisley is currently serving time behind bars for fraud and tax evasion. His wife, Julie, is also in federal custody for the same crimes.
Savannah Chrisley Opposes the Demolition of the Prison Facility Where Her Father Todd Is Serving His Sentence
As she continued discussing the prison closure, Savannah Chrisley stated she opposed the facility’s demolition.
“I am going to do everything in my power to stop that demolition,” she explained. “And you may ask, why? Wasn’t that your end goal? Yes. That was my end goal. But it’s not my end goal until I get all the documentation that I need, and the documentation that I need is a full inspection, a full and thorough inspection of that facility and the environments.”
Savannah also noted she needed to know more details about the facility. This includes the amount of lead-based paint, black mold, and asbestos.
“I need to know the numbers in the drinking water,” she continued. “I need to know it all because there are men leaving there with numerous medical issues. Cancer, you name it.”
Savanah went on to point out that the inmates go to the facility for a certain time and then leave with a potential “lifetime sentence.”
“So I want to have all the documentation for these men to file a class action lawsuit if they deem fit.,” she added. “And unfortunately, the BOP Is trying to destroy any evidence that we may have for that.”
