Following the news that Tish allegedly stole Dominic Purcell from Noah, Miley Cyrus has reportedly confronted her mother about the situation.
A source told PEOPLE that Miley originally had no idea about the situation. “She confronted her mom about it,” the insider said. “She thinks it’s a strange situation, but she loves her mom and wants her to be happy.”
Another source previously told the media outlet that Noah and Purcell previously hooked up. However, the duo parted ways before the Prison Break star started seeing Noah’s mother Tish.
“Noah and Dominic were seeing each other in a friends-with-benefits way, off and on,” the source explained. “They stopped seeing each other and then Tish started something up. Tish knew he had been seeing Noah.”
To make things even more awkward, Tish didn’t give Noah the chance to talk about the situation before she married Purcell. Miley and Noah Cyrus’ mother married Purcell in mid-August 2023. Noah was reportedly not invited to the wedding.
Meanwhile, a fellow insider stated that Noah is “delusional” for saying she and Purcell were ever a thing. “Noah never dated Dominic and they were not together. She is delusional to think otherwise and is trying to create a narrative that will paint her as a victim.”
The source said that while Noah wasn’t invited to the wedding, they didn’t believe she would show up anyway. “Noah was not invited to Tish’s wedding and she would not have come even if she was. Tish wanted a peaceful wedding and did not want Noah to create any sort of scene.”
Noah previously announced her engagement to Pinkus.

Weeks after the 2024 Grammys, Tish Cyrus gushes about how glad she was that her daughter Miley called out the audience for not dancing to her song.
“I was so glad she did that because you know how it is,” Tish stated during Brandi Cyrus’ Sorry We’re Stoned podcast. “It’s like you’re too cool for school to get up, you know you wanna get up and dance. So I was so glad she called it out.”
Fellow podcast guest Wiz Khalifa also said Miley Cyrus’ cal out made him happy as a performer. “I always love her performances. Her voice is amazing, and her attitude is amazing. And while the show was going on I was telling somebody how difficult it is to perform in those environments because it’s so stiff. She made the room uncomfortable by being herself. That was the best performance she could have gave.”
