Justin Timberlake’s Floating Stage Goes Viral
“Justin Timberlake kicked off his new tour this week — and his stage is already the talk of the town … ’cause it defies the laws of physics Newton worked so hard to confirm!” TMZ wrote.
“JT debuted an awesome set design Monday for the first show of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour — which officially got under at the inaugural stop in Vancouver, BC … wowing the crowd at Rogers Arena with a massive floating stage for his performance of “Mirrors.”
TMZ also notes that the idea was originally curated by Kanye West.
“Of course, the one artist that came to mind for this floating stage was none other than Kanye West – who famously implemented a similar design years ago while he was touring,” they added.
Joey Fatone Details Life After *NSYNC
Justin got his start as lead singer of the group *NSYNC. They were one of the most popular boy bands of the early 2000s. Although they never won a Grammy award, they did score eight nominations. The group went their separate ways after concluding their Celebrity tour in 2002. Band member Joey Fatone says he is grateful that he didn’t have to “reinvent” himself after the split.
“Well, thank God [the breakup] didn’t force me to [reinvent myself]. I wanted to. It wasn’t like, ‘Oh d—, I’m out of a job. What have I got to do? It was more or less, ‘Holy s—, these doors are opened. Let’s see if I can walk in. I may suck, but let’s find out,” Fatone said.
“I always wanted to do Broadway. Right after *NSYNC, I did Rent on Broadway. I did Little Shop of Horrors on Broadway. And then when I did Dancing With the Stars, people saw my personality,” he said, referencing his run on the ABC dancing competition series in 2007.
“People were like, ‘Oh, he’s not just a guy from *NSYNC. He’s actually a person that actually acts.’ It was interesting the path that I had to go through, but it was amazing.”
