After a legendary NFL career, Philadelphia Eagles’ center All-Pro Jason Kelce announced his retirement back in March. But Jason did not spend much time on the recliner before figuring out his next gig. So the future Hall of Famer will join ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” pregame show this fall.

The broadcast team already features other NFL legends, Randy Moss and Ryan Clark. Robert Griffin III, Alex Smith, and Marcus Spears are also among the former players on set.
“The recently retired Jason Kelce is headed to ESPN to be part of its “Monday Night Football” pregame show, sources briefed on the move told The Athletic,” Andrew Marchand of The Athletic wrote.
“Kelce, who just retired after what is considered a Hall of Fame career with the Philadelphia Eagles, was sought after by multiple networks. But he is slated to land on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown,” Marchand added.
Multiple Networks Pursued Jason Kelce
The insider notes that Kelce became a highly touted free agent in the TV world. Noting that the New Heights co-host had multiple suitors. One of those suitors was Amazon, who has the rights to “Thursday Night Football.” Jason and his wife Kylie had also previously done a documentary-style series on the network prior to his retirement.
“Jason, 36, has been interested in media and drew interest from NBC, CBS, and Amazon, among others,” Marchand added.
“He and his wife, Kylie, already had a pre-existing relationship with Amazon as they did a documentary series called, “Kelce,” which followed him around during his final season. Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night set is already pretty packed. NBC and CBS were both interested in adding Kelce to their Sunday desks.”
The potential of Kelce being on television every week is something to celebrate. However, ESPN has yet to confirm the report.
Kylie Gifts Jason Thoughtful Retirement Gift
Kelce has had one of the most decorated careers in NFL history. His resume reads six-time First-Team All-Pro selection, seven-time Pro Bowl selection, and a Super Bowl Champion.
Even more impressive is that Kelce spent all thirteen NFL seasons with one franchise, the Philadelphia Eagles. So Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, got him a most appropriate gift to commemorate his farewell to football.
It is a wooden replica of the Philadelphia Eagles stadium, Lincoln Financial Field. And the details are unmatched, to say the least.
