According to TMZ, “Shiloh Jolie-Pitt — who just turned 18 a few days ago on May 27 — filed paperwork requesting a legal name change … specifically, dropping the ‘Pitt’ from her last name and making her new name simply ‘Shiloh Jolie.’
“Mind you … this doc was literally filed on Monday, which was on Memorial Day … and also happens to be her 18th birthday. So, it seems this was one of the first things she wanted to do as an adult.”
Shiloh’s other sibling, Vivenne, also cut Pitt’s last name when listed in “The Outsiders” Playbill. Additionally, the former couple’s eldest daughter, Zahara, introduced herself using Jolie’s maiden name (sans “Pitt”) late last year. In 2021, it came out that the exes’ son Maddox allegedly doesn’t use “Pitt” on legal documents, only keeping the name “Jolie.”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s Alarming Past
According to Page Six, “The ‘Girl, Interrupted’ star filed for divorce from the actor in 2016 and requested full custody of their children — Vivienne, Zahara, Maddox, Shiloh, Pax, 20, and Knox, 15.”
It’s unclear how much contact the children have with their father. However, it’s evident there’s tension between them.
In fact, back in 2020, the ex-couple’s adopted son Pax allegedly shared a hateful Instagram post aimed toward Pitt to his private account, which was obtained by the Daily Mail.
“Happy Father’s Day to this world class a–hole!!” he wrote. “You time and time again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person.”
“You have no consideration or empathy toward your 4 youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence,” he reportedly continued.
Back in 2016, Pitt was allegedly verbally abusive and physical with his kids. Reportedly, this is what contributed to Jolie filing for divorce.
While his team claimed this wasn’t the truth, and that Pitt was not abusive, his Pax had other thoughts.
“You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want,” he wrote on Instagram. “But the truth will come to light someday.”
