Fans of rapper Don Tolliver were left scratching their heads after his August 11 concert in Houston ended abruptly.

According to news station KHOU, everyone in the Toyota Center was confused when the lights suddenly came on. “Please go to the nearest exit, exit safely and have a good night,” an announcement said.
It wasn’t until later that it was discovered that 31-year-old Joshua Biosah had brought a handgun into the venue. He has been charged with misdemeanor unlawful carrying of a weapon.
It is unclear how Biosah got the gun into the venue.
Kent Shaffer, Toliver’s attorney, told KHOU that the rapper had already left the stage when the announcement was made.
“Don left the stage, and then maybe five minutes later, the house lights went on and the show was canceled, but nobody knew why,” Shaffer explained.
According to Live Nation, Tolliver had already performed most of his set and there was only about 10 minutes left when it ended out of an abundance of safety for everyone in attendance.
“He wanted to do the last few songs, but he’s a professional and he understands that when a venue tells you you have to stop, you have to stop,” Shaffer said. “So he’s very disappointed.”
Shaffer said that Tolliver, who was born and raised in Houston, had some friends and family in attendance that night.
“I understand fans can be upset, but I guarantee you, nobody is more upset than Don,” he said.
Several videos of the announcement have made their way around social media. Videos on Instagram also show that a fan managed to bring a flare into the venue as well.
