President Trump seemingly enjoyed the response and even wrote on his Truth Social platform, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
Saquon Barkly addressed the Taylor Swift booing incident during his appearance on the Howard Stern Show days after the game. “I don’t get why she was getting hate there,” he told Stern.
Stern also said the same thing, noting he “didn’t like” the moment. Barkley stood up for Swift by stating she didn’t deserve the negativity.
“She’s there supporting her significant other [Travis Kelce], and she’s made the game bigger,” Barkley also pointed out. “In football, we’re all about how we can expand the game and make it more international. We’re traveling to Brazil, Mexico, and Australia soon. [Taylor] being a part of it is only helping that, so I don’t get the slack that she’s getting.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Stern asked Barkley if he thought Kelce was going to marry Swift. “I have no idea,” Barkley answered with a chuckle.
Barkley and his Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 during Super Bowl LIX.
