P.H. Moriarty a British actor known for roles in The Long Good Friday, Patriot Games and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, has died. He was 86.

Moriarty’s death was confirmed in an Instagram post from Orchid, a male cancer non-profit.
“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of P.H. Moriarty, a talented actor best known for his roles in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and The Long Good Friday,” read the post. “A gifted voice actor and a dedicated supporter of Orchid, Paul’s contributions and unwavering commitment will always be remembered. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.”
Moriarty, who also appeared in Syfy’s Dune adaptations, was born in Deptford, London, in 1938. He came to acting later, after previously working as a boxer and a dock worker. In fact, he was discovered when a film crew was shooting at the Surrey Commercial Docks while he was working.

In addition to playing “Razors” in The Long Good Friday and “Hatchet Harry” in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, he also portrayed Gurney Halleck in the 2000 miniseries Frank Herbert’s Dune and its 2003 sequel, Frank Herbert’s Children of Dune.
Moriarty’s final role was as Ian Jarvis in Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins.
He is survived by his wife, who The Sun reports was by his side when he died.
