Kelly Ripa is on a mission to debunk her prudish image, and in a bold twist, she revealed that clothes are mostly optional in her world.
On Tuesday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark the television personality and her husband, Mark Consuelos, engaged in a detailed discussion about the different aspects of nudity. From bare beaches to buff weddings and even a cruise in the nude, they covered it all.
“I have a very strict buffet policy,” Ripa noted about a potentially nude cruise. “What did I say? No nudity in the kitchen. I feel like that’s a separation of church and state,” she added. “We are empty nesters and I’m still like, hey, don’t come into this kitchen nude.”
Kelly Ripa mentioned that she finds herself “naked half the time,” yet she still takes pleasure in evaluating others’ choices to be nude in specific contexts. The 53-year-old claimed to be “the Judge Judy of the nude cruise” and “adjudicate whether or not I find the nudity offensive” on the ship.

When Consuelos, also 53, confessed to indulging in a birthday suit shower outdoors and absolutely loving it, Ripa didn’t miss a beat to roast him for his bare-naked bliss.
“Yeah, but you were naked outside in privacy,” she noted. “By the way, you should be naked everywhere you go,” she teased.
Ripa then proceeded to body shame men she found unappealing for daring to be nude in public.
“Some of these guys that choose to go naked, no offense, guys, but you know who you are. And, let me tell you,” she said, turning to face a camera that zoomed close to drive home the shaming. “Some of you guys, you know who you are, should put on more clothes. Nobody needs to see it. If we think it’s burned fruit…”
In another part of the segment, Ripa let slip that an Italian beach town is stripping down traditions by “planning nude weddings.”
“Because nothing says ‘I love you’ like seeing your in-laws naked,” Ripa joked. “And seeing your whole future spelled out for you in real-time.”
Mark Consuelos asked where the nude wedding would be, and Ripa said it was at Benas Beach in Sardinia. Despite not being sure if he knew the place, Consuelos remembered visiting Italy in the summers after moving to the U.S.
“The beaches there in Southern Italy, it’s you know, a lot of topless… topless situations happening,” Consuelos fondly recalled. Ripa shot back with “[you] must have been so excited…”
Ripa admitted she struggled with the idea of a nude wedding. However, Consuelos was all for it. “I say let your freak flag fly. Let it go, if you are going to get married,” he quipped.
