Things have been going downhill for Sean “Diddy” Combs since the FBI and Homeland Security raided his homes. The Bad Boy Records founder is a person of interest in an ongoing Sex Trafficking case. On May 17, things took an even worse turn for the hip-hop mogul.

CNN released footage of Diddy physically assaulting his former girlfriend and label artist Cassie Ventura. Cassie seems to be trying to escape from Diddy in a hotel lobby. In the video, Combs repeatedly punches and kicks Cassie in the face.
50 Cents Reacts to Diddy’s Apology
On May 19, Combs issued an apology for his actions in an Instagram video. But rapper 50 Cent, who has been vocal about his disdain for Combs, was having none of it.
“This is not going to work. Who is advising him [Diddy] right now? SMH bad move,” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram on May 19.
Combs Shows Regret For Actions in Video
In Combs’ apology, he admits that his actions were “inexcusable” but notes that he was in a “dark time” when he assaulted Cassie.
“It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” Diddy said on Instagram. “I was f–d up — I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable.”
However, Combs also added that he takes full responsibility for his actions.
“I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,” Combs said. “I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. Had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
Cassie Could Cooperate in Ongoing Investigation
Last November Cassie filed a federal lawsuit against Diddy.
The suit alleged that Combs was physically and sexually abusive to her throughout their relationship. And the recently released video confirms that. Her complaint also alleged that Diddy’s abuse had no bounds. He is accused of beating her, forcing her to have sex with other men, and even raping her at her home in 2018.
Since Cassie’s complaint, a myriad of others have made similar accusations against the hip-hop star. In March Cassie’s lawyer released a statement about the ongoing investigation with Combs, noting that they would be willing to cooperate.
“We will always support law enforcement when it seeks to prosecute those that have violated the law,” the singer’s attorney Douglas Wigdor said to Page Six.
“Hopefully, this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs responsible for his depraved conduct.”
