On Live with Kelly and Mark this Tuesday, the co-hosts praised the new season of Couples Therapy, which premiered on Paramount+ last Friday, May 31.
They introduced viewers to the reality series, highlighting that psychoanalyst Dr. Orna Guralnik conducts therapy sessions with couples. This season also features a marriage consisting of two women and one man.
“If you guys aren’t watching this show, it is the best show on television,” Ripa gushed.
Ripa delved into the age-old fantasy some men have of juggling a steady partner while keeping a side dish on the menu.
“These people are time management experts. I can’t even understand their scheduling,” Rippa marveled. “Mark and I looked at each other last night, right? And I go, ‘Oh, that’s a lot of work.'”
Kelly Ripa Heartily Agrees That Mark Consuelos Wouldn’t Be Able to Satisfy Two Women at Once
Of course, Consuelos went straight to how he would struggle to satisfy two women in one household.
“I wouldn’t have the energy to keep everybody, you know… happy,” he admitted, causing a stir of laughter from the audience.
Teasing Consuelos about his laundry list of injuries, Ripa quipped that his body would crumble like a cookie in a throuple.
“I can’t imagine the ways your body would break down,” she imagined. “It would just break down. Things would start falling apart quickly.”
However, Mark Consuelos, perhaps hoping his wife would say he’d have no problem pleasing two women at once, quickly changed the subject.
“What was interesting was watching this guy feel needy,” he said, changing the subject from his inadequacy. “He was still needy. Having two women, he still needs more,” he continued.
He emphasized Guralnik’s focus, praising her as captivating, while Consuelos offered further analysis of the show.
“She goes, ‘Tell me more. Tell me more,’” Mark said.
Kelly added, “She leans in and she’s like, ‘Say more.’ And then she’ll turn to one of the women and say, ‘And where are you in all of this?’”
“I love it,” Consuelos insisted, noting the benefits of the show. “You don’t even have to go to couples therapy. Just watch this. It’s your couples therapy.”
Ripa chimed in with Consuelos, quipping that the show is like “free therapy” for couples. She even hinted at an ongoing segment, urging viewers to watch Couples Therapy so they can “discuss it in house.”
