JoJo has been receiving a ton of criticism and harsh feedback recently. In fact, many fans, haters, and fellow stars alike have taken to social media to make fun of her most recent song, Karma. Specifically, her audience taunted her for her music video — and the look she sported.
Allegedly, JoJo is attempting to rebrand herself as a “bad girl.” The former Dance Moms star sought to launch a new era and, “kickstart an unfiltered, undeniable, and unrestrained phase for the record-breaking star,” according to a press release for the song.
However, JoJo’s first adult single has garnered tons of negative attention. Thankfully, JoJo seems to taking it all with a grain of salt. In fact, she even praised a recent parody of her work as “iconic.”
“I literally don’t know what to say,” JoJo wrote on her Instagram story on Sunday. She included the Saturday Night Live skit featuring Fineman, who essentially poked fun at JoJo’s “bad girl” era.
“This is f—king crazy,” JoJo added. “3 and a half minute skit on SNL….”

During Fineman’s SNL skit, she sported a similar look to JoJo’s infamous “Karma” music video persona.
“That’s right! I’m a bad girl now! Yes, yes, it’s a pretty big change,” Fineman exclaimed, imitating JoJo. “I used to be rainbow sparkles, and now I’m black sparkles. I look like if a figure skater joined a street gang.”
During the segment, Fineman threw her body around with wild dance moves and pretended to “try” to smoke a cigarette.
She also asked Colin Jost of NBC, “Does it scare you, Colin? Does a former child star looking like this scare you?”
“Yeah, but not in the way you’re hoping,” he responded.
Fineman then continued her act, announcing that she is now in her “bad girl era” and is also “the first gay girl in the world.”
This comes after JoJo received criticism for her intention to “invent” a music genre called “gay pop.” Following the backlash, she took back her comment and acknowledged the stars that precede her.
Amid all the hate she’s been getting, JoJo is seemingly keeping a positive attitude about it all. In fact, she even praised Fineman’s parody of her, calling it “iconic.”
