An alleged insider informed Entertainment Tonight on Monday that Lopez and Affleck have been “living separate lives,” though they are “not officially separated yet.”
“At this point, they are just doing their own thing,” the source revealed to the outlet. “They went into their relationship very optimistic and thought things could change, but they haven’t.”
Over the weekend, reports emerged that the couple has listed their Beverly Hills mansion, valued at $60 million, just one year after buying it outright. Affleck reportedly began residing in a Brentwood home in mid-May. Meanwhile, Lopez has recently started touring houses and exploring options for her own residence, according to the insider.
The source mentioned that Lopez has been relying on her mother, her sisters Lynda and Leslie Ann, and her 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, for support during this transitional period. Meanwhile, Lopez reportedly canceled her “This Is Me… Live” tour to spend quality time with her children, family, and close friends.
“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down,” Lopez herself wrote at the time. “Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary.”
She continued, “I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
Ben Affleck is Reportedly Leaning on Friends During His Rumored Split from Jennifer Lopez
According to the source, Affleck has also been leaning on his loved ones, including his best friend and frequent co-star Matt Damon, to navigate through challenging times.
“Ben is sad about it all but focused on his work, being a great dad and co-parenting well with Jennifer Garner,” the source explained. Affleck and Garner share three children: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
“He has been leaning on Matt Damon and his close circle of guy friends,” the source added. “Matt is always in Ben’s corner and is supportive of him.”
Despite spending some time apart, Affleck and Lopez reunited for about four hours at their Beverly Hills home over the weekend. Affleck appeared to join his wife for dinner on Sunday night, arriving at the home at 5 p.m. and departing around 9 p.m. local time.
In May 2023, Lopez and Affleck acquired a sprawling 43,000-square-foot mansion, boasting 17 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms, for $60.85 million in cash. They are now seeking approximately $65 million for the property.
