In an incredibly sweet Instagram post, Duff shared a series of photos featuring the infant, born on May 3 in an apparent water birth. “Townes Meadow Blair,” she wrote. “Now we know why she made us wait so long… She was perfecting those Cheeks!”
Hilary Duff then wrote about how she dreamed of holding Townes for months. “The past 4 days of getting to know you, stare at you, and smell you has been pure moments of magic. We all love you like you’ve been here all along beauty.”
Duff announced in Dec. 2023 that she and her husband Matthew Koma were expecting. She shares daughters Banks and Mae with Koma and has her eldest son, Lucas, with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
Less than a month before the arrival of Townes, Hilary Duff admitted that having four kids was a “truly wild” choice for her.
“And while you rage the farmers market with the kids after 4 nights of shows and late nights so I can get some sleep and not hear mom mom mama mommy moooom just know this only works because of you,” Duff wrote on Instagram.
She has also said that Townes would be her and Koma’s last child. Koma publicly announced earlier this year that he had a vasectomy done. He declared, “10/10 would recommend” as he discussed the procedure.
Hilary Duff Admitted She Loves the ‘Mayhem’ Of Raising Multiple Kids
Shortly after welcoming her third child, Mae, in 2021, Hilary Duff told PEOPLE she enjoyed the “mayhem” that comes with raising multiple children.
“I have help, but babies just want their mom,” Duff explained. “Even Luca is still like, ‘Mom, Mom, Mom.’ Mom cooks the thing the right way, and Mom packs the bag the right way.”
“It’s crazy. It’s a learning curve to throw a newborn into the mix. A lot of people have been like, ‘That third kid really gets you.’ And they’re right!”
Hilary Duff also said at the time that she loves how busy life is with the kids. “I love when everyone’s full of energy and the house is buzzing. You never know what the day is going to bring or what your kid’s going to say. We’re in the thick of it, and it feels good.”
