On Monday, Pullos pleaded no contest to a DUI charge following both a hit-and-run and a head-on crash in Los Angeles.
According to police, she was driving her car on the wrong side of the Pasadena freeway while simultaneously drunk and high. The crash caused both bodily injury and property damage.
Additionally, officers found edibles and tequila in her car when they discovered her after the collision. Pullos was trapped in her vehicle, and the Pasadena Fire Department had to use hydraulic rescue tools to get her out.
She and the other driver, Courteney Wilder, were both taken to the hospital. Wilder was admitted with major injuries.
Pullos displayed obvious signs of intoxication when she was found. Allegedly, before she crashed, she also took part in a hit-and-run incident.
Haley Pullos Sentenced to Three Months in Jail for DUI
Pullos’s DUI incident occurred in April of 2023. She will now serve three months in Pasadena City Jail.
Her attorney, Mark Daniel Melnick, told PEOPLE that “Haley is very grateful to the court for a minimum sentence and for recognizing her remorse and the strides she has made in her sobriety.”
Wilder filed a lawsuit against Pullos for damages. Pullos’s legal team then denied “generally and specifically each and every allegation” included in Wilder’s claim.
However, in addition to serving 90 days in jail, Pullos will pay $8,260 in restitution to Wilder. She will also serve five years probation and 200 hours of community service.
Pullos Steps Back From General Hospital
After her DUI and serious car crash, Pullos went to a rehab treatment facility and stepped back from her role in the soap opera General Hospital in May of 2023. She claimed she needed “a little time to recover.”
Though she has been prioritizing her sobriety and getting the help she needs, she will still ultimately have to pay the price of her DUI.
She is set to be sentenced and return to court on July 29th after serving 90 days. Pullos will then be on a five-year probation and must complete 200 hours of community service.
