Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, former Prince, reportedly used his relation to his late mother, Queen Victoria II, to resist his arrest.

Ex-Prince Andrew was evicted from his 30-room Windsor mansion and relocated to the Sandringham Estate on February 23. He is now living at Wood Farm. The former Prince has been under scrutiny and suspicion since the Virginia Giuffre lawsuit in August 2021 and, most recently, his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
The disgraced royal wasn’t booted from his lodge without resistance, however. An insider told The Sun, “He refused to leave or take any responsibility.”
“When he was told to get out he was so arrogant and deluded he repeatedly shouted, ‘But I’m the Queen’s second son, you can’t do this to me.'” It looks like Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is still holding onto his mother’s coattails.
The source added, “It is extraordinary he chose to use the Queen’s name in his defence. No one is quite sure if the reality of his dire situation has hit home even yet.”
Another insider told the outlet that the situation intensified when Andrew made it clear he “did not want to leave.”
Former Prince Andrew’s Eviction Follows His Arrest
Police arrested Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on his birthday, February 19. He was subjected to an 11-hour interrogation, but was then released.
Following his arrest, King Charles III issued a statement that shared his “deepest concern” over his younger brother.
“What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities,” he said. “In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.”
Prince William, heir to the throne, and wife Kate Middleton have supported King Charles’ statement. In a recent interview, Prince William admitted to not being in a “calm state” just after Andrew’s arrest.
If Andrew is convicted of his crimes, he will face a life sentence in prison.
