Music legend Bruce Springsteen has been forced to postpone multiple shows due to being “under doctor’s direction.”

In a post on the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s website, it was revealed that the group had to postpone Marseille, France. The event was originally on May 25 show at the Orange Vélodrome.
“Due to vocal issues and under doctor’s direction, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s concert this evening at the Orange Vélodrome in Marseille has been postponed to a later date,” the post reads. “We thank you for your understanding and will keep you informed of the new date very soon.”
The message noted that the show tickets will be valid for the new date. “For those who want, they will be eligible for reimbursement at point of purchase.”
It was announced the performances for Prague and Milan were also pushed back.
“Following yesterday’s postponement in Marseille due to vocal issues, further examination and consulting has led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next ten days,” the message reads. “With this in mind, additional postponements are required for Airport Letnany in Prague (originally scheduled for May 28) and San Siro Stadium in Milan (originally scheduled for June 1 and 3). New dates for these shows will be announced shortly. Those wishing a refund will be able to obtain it at their original point of purchase.”
There was also. an update on Bruce’s progress. “Bruce is recuperating comfortably,” the message reads. “He and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their hugely successful European stadium tour on June 12 in Madrid at the magnificent Civitas Metropolitan.”
Bruce Springsteen Has Been Experiencing Vocal Issues Since March
Bruce Springsteen has reportedly been struggling with his voice since the E Street Band resumed its tour in March.
During an interview on SiriusXM’s E Street Radio, Springsteen spoke about being unable to sing due to peptic ulcer disease.
“My diaphragm was hurting so badly that when I went to make the effort to sing,” Bruce Springsteen explained. “It was killing me, you know? “So, I literally couldn’t sing at all and that lasted for two or three months, along with just a myriad of other painful problems…”
Springsteen further admitted that he was afraid he wasn’t going to hear good news from his doctors during the treatments. “At the end of the day, I found some great doctors,” he added. “And they straightened me out, and I can’t do anything but thank them all.”
