Nearly two months after ID’s Quiet On Set made its small screen debut, Victoria Justice is now speaking out about the docuseries and her experience working with Dan Schneider.

During a recent interview with Marie Claire, Justice got candid about the docuseries, which examined Schneider’s uncomfortable and abusive behavior on various Nickelodeon sets. She was part of the cast of his shows Zoey 101 and Victorious.
“Something that was very evident in the documentary is that Dan had a very large ego,” Victoria Justice shared about Schneider. “And sometimes that ego clouded his better judgment and affected the way he tried people, and there were times I felt like I was being treated unfairly.”
Although she didn’t recall anything sexual ever happened between her and Schneider, some moments were “in poor taste.”
Victoria Justice also stated she believes she is one of the people to whom Dan Schneider said he owes an apology. “I would say I’m definitely one of the people on that list.”
While she has done a handful of virtual and in-person reunions with Schneider and the casts of Zoey 101 and Victorious, Justice said she hasn’t kept in contact with the now-infamous producer.
Victoria Justice Also Gives Dan Schneider Credit For Discovering Her
Despite acknowledging she is one of the people Dan Schneider owes an apology to, VIctoria Justice did give him credit for discovering her.
“I’m not condoning any of his behavior,” Justice continued. “At the end of the day, my relationship with Dan is a very complex one: I met him when I was 12 years old, and he’s the person that gave me this big break. He completely changed my life.”
Victoria Justice then said she wouldn’t be where she is today if it wasn’t for Dan Schneider. For that, I will always be grateful.”
Justice went on to add that after seeing Schneider’s apology after the docuseries’ release, she thinks he recognizes that he did a lot of things wrong. “I think if he could step back into a time machine, he would do a lot of things differently.”
Justice is among the former Nickelodeon child stars speaking about how their interactions with Schneider. Most of them experienced abusive, inappropriate behavior from him. All That star Lori Beth Denberg recently claimed Schneider showed her adult films and initiated phone sex with her.
Dan Schneider has responded to Denberg’s claims by stating, “If I did that with respect to Lori Beth, I sincerely apologize to her. But I cannot apologize for things I did not do.”
He is now suing Quiet On Set producers.
