Swift currently shares the record with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon. The artists all, of course, have three wins each. But people are speculating that she could grab the trophy for her latest album, Midnights.
The record has already won Album of the Year at ten different awards shows across the country, including The People’s Choice. It’s also been RIAA-certified platinum twice and ended 2022 as the third-best album on the Billboard 50 Best chart.
To make history, Taylor Swift will have to edge out Jon Batiste (World Music Radio), Miley Cyrus (Endless Summer Vacation), boygenius (the record), Lana Del Rey (Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd), Janelle Monáe (The Age Of Pleasure), Olivia Rodrigo (GUTS), and SZA (SOS).
Olivia Rodrigo may be Swift’s biggest contender. Her album topped the 2023 Billboard Top 50 album chart.
Taylor Swift’s Fourth Best Album Win is Only a Matter of Time
Since breaking into the industry in 2006, Swift has won an impressive 12 Grammys. And she’s been nominated for 52 more. Tonight, she’s also up for Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, Song of the Year (Anti-Hero), and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with Ice Spice (Karma).
Even if Taylor Swift doesn’t hear her name called for Album of the Year, she has a long career in front of her, and she’s gaining more momentum as she goes. So we’re fairly certain that the record is not an “if” but a “when.”
Tune into the Grammys tonight on CBS at 8 p.m. ET to see who wins the award. While you’re watching, you may also find out if the rumors are true about her release of Reputation.
