It seemed the veteran Country crooner decided to embrace slapstick comedy, apparently auditioning for a vaudeville act as he did a perfect pratfall—legs in the air and torso meeting the ground, all in the middle of his Saturday night show.
TMZ caught Luke exiting the West Hollywood eatery Cecconi’s on Monday. When questioned about the humiliating spill, the American Idol judge seemed to take the tumble in stride. When asked if he was hurt upon impact, Bryan insisted he was fine.
“Hey…”, he started with a sly smile. “I gotta lot of meat back there,” Luke Bryan declared.
Bryan mentioned that, with numerous phones being tossed onto the stage during his performance, he was uncertain if the cause was the phones themselves or the slippery stage.
Luke Bryan Replayed the Moment His Rear Meat Saved the Day
The veteran Country singer fell during his Vancouver concert at the Coast City Country Festival. Rather than pretending the incident never occurred, he embraced it with humor, even replaying the footage for his audience.
Luke remained on the floor momentarily, then sat up, chuckling at his own clumsiness. The audience, sharing in the moment, laughed along in relief. Holding up a fan’s cell phone that had found its way onto the stage, he turned the mishap into a comedic beat.
“My lawyers will be calling,” he quipped.
However, Bryan then had a rump-thumping epiphany. “Hold up! Did anybody get that?”, he asked the crowd. “I gotta see it,” Bryan exclaimed, kneeling before he reached out to take a cellphone from a fan in the crowd.
“Oh, you’re Snapchatting, you can’t Snapchat this s—,” he joked. He then treated the crowd to the clip, zooming in with gusto to showcase his own hilarious tumble.
The dive reportedly took place while the rumpalicious singer was hyping up his next song.
While being cornered by TMZ, Bryan also admitted to committing the ultimate pop culture sin. He hasn’t listened to Taylor Swift’s new album yet, citing being too busy with his current tour. Perhaps sensing that even his impressive rump wouldn’t be able to save him from an onslaught of Swifties, he added, “I’m sure it’s great, though.”
Luke Bryan is on the Canadian segment of his “Mind of a Country Boy” tour, wrapping up its inaugural leg on April 24 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
