About Barbie Hsu’s Death
Taiwanese media TVBS News reported that the actress visited the hospital twice while traveling in Japan, but was not given a diagnosis.

Reactions to Barbie Hsu’s Death

Hsu’s death has led to a spike in influenza vaccines in Taiwan, with some likening the rush to the demand for COVID-19 vaccines during the pandemic.
Her husband, South Korean rapper Koo Jun-yup, also known as “DJ Koo,” mourned her in a post on his Instagram page.
“I am currently in a state of indescribable sadness and pain, with a heart as if being cut by a knife, and my insides are torn apart. I have no strength to speak, nor do I want to speak,” Koo wrote in both Chinese and Korean.
He also vowed to give his portion of her inheritance to her mother, and to protect the two children she shared with ex-husband Wang Xiaofei.
“I will take legal measures through lawyers to protect their rights until they reach adulthood,” he promised. “I believe that safeguarding the family that Shi-yuan loved most is the last thing I can do for her.”
