In a recent update, Laverock’s parents, father John Laverock, mother Nicole Rockmann, and stepfather Rob Compton, revealed through the GoFundMe set up for the actress that her’ body “has been shattered” after the life-threatening fall.
“She has undergone two 11-hour surgeries with two doctors working on her, a three-hour surgery, and another surgery today,” Mamie Laverock’s loved ones wrote. “We have nothing but gratitude for the doctors and nurses who have been exemplary in her care since May 26.”
Before the fall, Laverock experienced a “medical emergency,” and her mother arrived just in time to save her. After receiving treatment at a hospital in Winnipeg, the actress was transported to St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver.
Although her health improved following her Vancouver arrival, Mamie Laverock experienced a setback on May 26, when she was escorted out of a secure unit of a hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway. That was when she fell five stories.
“She sustained life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support,” the update revealed following the incident.
Despite what happened to her, Mamie Laverock’s parents said she is “doing well” compared to when she arrived.
“She is enduring tremendous pain and continues to not give up. We can only hold onto the miracles of each day,” her parents added. “And continue to thank everyone for their prayers and marvel at the miracles of her story. Our daughter loves her life and loves her family and is fighting hard every day.”
Mamie Laverock’s Mother Says the Fall Was Not Intentional
Mamie Laverock’s mother Nicole recently told The Los Angeles Times that the actress’ terrifying fall was not intentional. This is why the family is considering taking legal action against the hospital.

Mamie “Laverock’s mother continued by speaking out about her daughter’s recovery. “All we care about is that Mamie can make a recovery and that she’s alive,” she said. “And that she’s fighting and that she’s strong. It’s unbelievable that she’s with us.”
