The bus of the popular rock band Buckcherry was involved in a multi-vehicle highway crash that claimed the life of one person.

The Buckcherry bandmates shared in a Facebook post that they were heading to their gig on I-26 near Spartanburg, South Carolina, at around 2 am on Friday when the tragic accident occurred.
“We are extremely grateful to report that all members of Buckcherry and our touring crew are safe and unharmed,” the statement reads. “Tragically, authorities have confirmed that the collision that occurred ahead of our bus resulted in a fatality.
The band further shared, “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and loved ones of the person who lost their life.”
The band’s scheduled performance at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Saturday proceeded as planned.
“We sincerely appreciate everyone who has reached out with concern and support,” the bandmates added.
The Buckcherry bandmates are currently on their Roar Like Thunder tour, which is named after the group’s 11th album. The tour is expected to wrap up in early September.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation Released More Information About the Crash
Meanwhile, South Carolina Department of Transportation announced a motorist stepped out of his vehicle on I-26 East and was struck. They were killed by a Toyota sedan during the accident.
According to multiple local media outlets, the crash happened at mile marker 31 on I-26. All eastbound lanes were closed until mid-morning on Saturday.
The victim has not yet been identified.
