The 2024 Grammy Awards took place in Los Angeles on February 4. The event is noted as one of the biggest of the year. So the industry was buzzing about the ceremony. Some of the biggest names in music are already slated to be at the event. Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, and Lenny Kravitz have already made their appearances on the red carpet ahead of the star-studded ceremony.

But even more surprises could be in store. One of the executive producers of the award show noted that an “absolute global icon,” will be the final presenter of the evening.
“They are an absolute global icon. I think jaws will drop on the floor. People will be on their feet. The only condition they gave is that it was a surprise.”
Barbz Fire Back at Grammys After Minaj Snub
The night of the Grammy’s started with controversy after a social media blunder. The official Twitter account of the award show tweeted out that Nicki Minaj’s song “Barbie World” was announced as the winner of Best Rap Song of the Year. But she didn’t win. The actual winner was Killer Mike for “Scientists and Engineers.”
With Minaj having one of the strongest fan bases in the music industry, they stood strong behind their favorite artist. They got the hashtag #Scammys trending on Twitter.
Drake Sends Strong Message on Grammys
The Grammys have earned the reputation for being the biggest night in music. But not everyone is a fan of the awards. Ahead of Sunday’s ceremony, multi-platinum artist Drake slammed the Grammys. He noted that the committee ‘doesn’t dictate s—“
“All you incredible artists remember this show isn’t the facts it’s just the opinion of a group of people whose names are kept a secret (literally you can google it),” he said.
“Congrats to anybody winning anything for hip hop but this show doesn’t dictate shit in our world”
Drake had four Grammy nominations this year. All four nominations were for his collab album with 21 Savage titled Her Loss. But the hip-hop duo lost in all four categories. Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance, Best Melodic Rap Performance, and Best Rap Song.
