Investigators report that Wiseman lost control of his vehicle, crossing the median into westbound lanes. Evidence from his car suggests he braked for only one second before releasing the pedal, ultimately colliding with a motorcyclist. Furthermore, investigators allege there was no apparent attempt to regain control of the car before entering oncoming traffic.

Jacob Rhea, a 30-year-old motorcyclist, was pronounced dead at the scene. Wiseman’s 3-year-old daughter, who had not been secured in a child safety seat, was transported to the hospital. She tragically succumbed to her injuries.
The 5- and 6-year-old children were not seriously injured in the crash. Despite being injured, Wiseman declined medical treatment. Authorities confirmed there was no indication that he was impaired.
WZTV reports that Wiseman was arrested on Sunday and charged with vehicular homicide by recklessness, along with two counts of child endangerment. He is being held on a $70,000 bond.
