According to local media outlet WCCB, Avery Sehom, the daughter of Harmon and former NFL star Jason Sehom, was arrested alongside two 17-year-old boys, on June 6.
The trio is accused of forcibly gaining access to the World Night Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, and sneaking behind the bar to steal six bottles of liquor worth half a grand.
The nightclub’s owner stated that his cleaning crew caught Angie Harmon’s daughter and the boys. Although the three ran away, they were eventually caught by the authorities.
The incident occurred just days after Avery graduated from Charlotte Christian School on June 2nd. She will reportedly be attending the University of Alabama this fall.
Although the entire ordeal was caught on camera, the nightclub owner said they are not planning to release the footage.
Angie Harmon’s Daughter Was Released Without Bail After Nightclub Theft Incident
Despite notably facing felony and larceny charges for the nightclub incident, Angie Harmon’s daughter Avery was released from jail without any bail.
In court documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Avery was released after making a “written promise to appear” at her June 18 hearing at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse instead of paying a bond.
It was further reported there were no additional conditions to the release of Angie Harmon’s daughter.
The incident occurred just months after Angie Harmon and her daughter made headlines after accusing an Instacart driver of shooting and killing their dog, Oliver, over Easter weekend.
Harmon stated that she was suing the Instacart driver, Christopher Anthony Reid, for more than $25,000 in damages. Although he admitted to killing Oliver, Reid stated that he did so in self-defense.
Angie Harmon stated she was pursuing legal action to make sure such a horrific incident doesn’t happen again. She explained Reid was delivering groceries to her house when he fired a single shot at the German Shepherd and Beagle mix.
Her daughter, Avery, witnessed and alerted her of what happened by screaming, “Oh my God. Oh my God. Did you just shoot our dog?!”
“We were running, screaming, crying,” Harmon recalled. “I remember thinking how weird – like, why isn’t he helping? Why is he just watching us like entertainment?”
Angie Harmon further explained there was some confusion when it came to who was supposed to deliver her groceries. She believed to be interacting with a delivery driver named “Merle” earlier that day. However, Reid showed up at her home instead. The app photo of who was supposed to deliver the groceries was that of an older woman.
Harmon’s legal team believes that Reid was impersonating Merle on the app.
