As previously reported, Lawless posted the video through her social media channels earlier this week. She confirmed she and Jameson had split nearly 11 months after they exchanged vows.
In the clip, Lawless claimed that the adult film entertainer had a drinking problem, which became too much. Lawless also explained she had tried to reason with Jenna Jameson about the drinking. However, her wife of less than a year was resistant.
However, it appears Lawless is rethinking the video, as she deleted it from her channels on Wednesday, April 17. She told TMZ she decided to remove the video after having a heart-to-heart with Jameson.
Lawless pointed out that she was aware Jenna Jameson had been heavily criticized over her video. “I don’t want her mental health impacted any more than it already has been,” Lawless told the media outlet. “I love her. This is a very delicate time for us. We’re both heartbroken and trying to find hope for the future.”
Lawless also said that Jameson told her she’d never think again. “I can see at this point that she is in fact sober today and plans to remain that way,” Lawless continued. “I just want her to be safe [and] healthy.”
When asked if she would consider retracting her annulment filing, Lawless said there would always be hope for her and Jenna Jameson as a couple since they love each other.
She also stated she believes in forgiveness. She didn’t say if she would pull the filing but rather said she would see what the future holds.
Jenna Jameson married Jessi Lawless on May 23, 2023. The adult film star announced the relationship in Feb. 2023, after confirming she and Lior Bitton had split up.
Jenna Jameson Previously Issued a Public Response to Jessi Lawless’ Annulment Filing
In a statement provided to Entertainment Tonight, Jenna Jameson responded to Jessi Lawless filing an annulment after they had been married for less than a year.
“I wish Jessi all the best,” Jameson stated. As someone who works hard on her sobriety, she hopes that anyone struggling with additional or trying to stay sober has access to an empathic and loving support system.”
Jameson also said that research has shown empathy and understanding are better responses to addiction than judgment, shaming, and moralizing. “Expressing your unconditional love and support may be one of the kindest things you can do,” she explained. “Let them know that you are there for them, relapse or not, ten days sober of 200.”
In legal documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, Lawless claimed in her annulment filing that her “consent to marriage was obtained by fraud” because Jameson “advised that she was financially independent, debt free, and would contribute to the financial responsibility of the household.”
However, Lawless stated her estranged wife did not disclose that she had more than $500,000 in tax debt before they exchanged vows. “The plaintiff entered into marriage with the promise that defendant would remain sober and has not kept that promise.”
