Adding insult to injury, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker experienced another embarrassing moment following the team’s Super Bowl loss — the misplacement of his clothes. A source close to the Chiefs revealed to Daily Mail that Butker was left wearing his towel after his clothes went missing.

The athlete’s locker was allegedly near quarterback Patrick Mahomes’; following his post-game shower, Butker opened his locker to find his belongings were gone. Butker believes a team staffer may have mistaken his locker for Mahomes’.
The possible staffer mistake added to the miserable evening as the Chiefs headed home after being defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles during Super Bowl LIX. The Chiefs entered the game as back-to-back Super Bowl champions. It was on its way to making history as the first team to win three consecutive games in NFL history. Unfortunately, the Eagles ended the Chiefs’ winning streak, beating the team with 40-22.
Harrison Butker Stands By His Controversial Graduation Speech
Harrison Butker spoke about his controversial graduation speech days before Super Bowl LIX. He reminded everyone that he was unapologetic about his remarks.
“A lot of guys had different opinions about it,” he explained about his teammates’ reactions to his speech. “But we all love each other in that locker room, and we all know who we are, and I think all the guys understood where I was coming from. I know they respect me and respect what I have to say. I got nothing to apologize for.”
While continuing to justify his remarks, Butker declared, “God has given me this platform. And I’m going to say what I believe to be true and what I hold close to my heart. Anything that comes, I’m blessed to be on the Chiefs and be in another Super Bowl.”
During his commencement speech at Benedictine College in Missouri, Harrison Butker caused a stir. He told the female graduates they had been lied to about what success meant.
“I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolic lies told to you,” he said. “Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”
“I’m beyond blessed with the many talents God has given me,” he continued. “But it cannot be overstated that all my success is made possible because a girl I met in band class back in middle school would convert to the faith, become my wife, and embrace one of the most important titles of all. Homemaker.”
