Tyler Cameron of Bachelor Nation slammed The Golden Bachelor couple as “stubborn old people.”

Cameron went on The Happy Hour SiriusXM’s TODAY Show Radio to discuss Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s recent divorce.
“They have put a true stain on love in the ‘Bachelor’ world,” he said. “Three months?! They make all my relationships seem very long. You know what I mean? Like, golly, I’m a dating expert compared to them.”
Cameron himself was on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, for which he was runner-up.
He went on to describe the couple — and the show — as “wholesome,” stating it “brought so much joy and true love” to the franchise. He then mentioned that many contestants join the show to become influencers rather than to find true love. However, he felt The Golden Bachelor would have been different.
“Then they just pulled the rug right out from under us,” he said.

Cameron went on to his “theory” for why older couples like Gerry and Theresa might have trouble finding — and keeping — love.
“My dad — he’s old, he’s set in his ways, and he’s single,” he said. “He can’t find anyone that wants to deal with the stuff he does.”
Cameron said he doesn’t blame the women for not wanting to put up with his father’s stubborn ways.
“He doesn’t want to change much either, and I imagine Gerry and Theresa don’t want to change their ways,” Cameron said. “He doesn’t want to leave Indiana, where his family is, and she doesn’t want to leave … New Jersey where she wants to live.”
The Golden Bachelor couple quoted their living arrangements as a major reason for their separation. When they announced their divorce on Good Morning America on April 12, Gerry stated:
“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth, and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage.”
Allegedly, both Gerry and Theresa want to be near their families. Additionally, Theresa still has a job in her home state.
“It’s just two stubborn old people, you know?” Cameron said about the ex-partners. “And when you get older you get more stubborn.”
