The Risky Business star reportedly left guests at Becham’s London party on Saturday night utterly astonished with an incredible ‘breakdance’ routine that concluded with an impressive split.
An alleged partygoer told UK outlet The Daily Mail that the splits moment left everyone on the scene “absolutely dumbfounded.”
The remarkably fit 61-year-old Cruise, known for performing his own stunts, was an unexpected addition to the guest list at the event. He has been acquainted with the Beckhams for two decades. Former soccer star David Beckham reportedly holds Cruise in high esteem, idolizing him since his youth.
Following a formal dinner, the Mission: Impossible star became the life of the party, showcasing his energy among the 120 guests at the exclusive Oswalds members club in Mayfair. Dressed in elegant black tie attire, complete with a waistcoat, Cruise left guests in awe with his breakdancing skills, ultimately performing an impressive split.
Tom Cruise Likely Channeled a Popular Character During His Dance Off at Victoria Beckham’s Party
Regrettably, the Beckhams imposed a strict ban on cameras, and it is believed that no one managed to take a surreptitious video of the moment. However, we here at Suggest would like to imagine that Tom channeled his Tropic Thunder character, Les Grossman.
Of course, Cruise also left a memorable mark with his iconic dance scene in the 1983 blockbuster Risky Business. In his breakthrough role, he famously slid across the floor in just his underwear and socks, grooving to “Old Time Rock n Roll.”
Alas, Tom Cruise apparently kept his pants on during Victoria Beckham’s party. Allegedly, his performance on Oswalds’ dance floor was reminiscent of his role in Tropic Thunder.
Emerging in the early hours, sporting dark sunglasses, Cruise was all smiles, happily signing autographs for fans.
Cruise wasn’t the sole celebrity gracing Victoria’s lavish party in London. The entire Spice Girls ensemble—Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Melanie “Mel B” Brown—made their appearances as well.
The iconic girl group even surprised guests with an impromptu performance of their 1997 hit, “Stop,” creating a memorable moment for all in attendance.
Actress Salma Hayek also attended with her husband Francois-Henri Pinault, alongside Vogue editor Edward Enninful, model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham, Guy Ritchie and his wife Jacquie, and Victoria’s family including her sister Louise.
