The former teen idol attempted to maintain a low profile by reclining fully in the car seat while cruising through San Fernando Valley, California, on Thursday, Page Six reported.
Spears ducked low in the passenger seat of the Mercedes SUV, making herself nearly invisible. Meanwhile, her ex, Paul Richard Soliz, took the wheel, also ducking for cover. The 42-year-old singer sought to escape the paparazzi’s lens by lying flat, stretching her legs out in front of her, and swiftly rolling up the windows.
During the incident, Spears managed to crack the car’s front windshield with her pump’s heel after casually resting them on the dashboard. On the other hand, Soliz appeared a bit more startled by the paparazzi and attempted to protect himself from the camera flashes by using his arm as a shield.
Britney Spears’ Ex Has a Checkered Past
Soliz, a convicted felon and her former housekeeper, kept his face concealed with his hand as he drove away with Spears beside him in the passenger seat. Spears opted for a business casual ensemble, wearing a blue and white striped button-down shirt paired with blue skinny jeans, complemented by orange pumps and white-rimmed aviator sunglasses.
Spears and Soliz were reportedly in a relationship last year, which ended in September 2023. This fleeting romance unfolded shortly after Spears’ previous husband, Sam Asghari, initiated divorce proceedings.
Soliz faced charges including disturbing the peace, child endangerment, and unlicensed driving. He was also charged with felonies: possessing a controlled substance for sale and illegal firearm possession.
The sighting follows reports that Britney settled her conservatorship court case with her dad, Jamie Spears. Sources close to Britney Spears disclosed that she was infuriated after her case was settled quietly. It resulted in her bearing Jamie’s legal costs, which surpassed $2 million. Adding to her legal fee woes, Britney has compensated her attorney with millions, rumored to exceed $4 million.
In 2008, the pop singer was placed under a court-mandated conservatorship, with her father as the conservator. For most of these 13 years, he managed all aspects of his adult daughter’s finances and medical care.
Since ending her conservatorship in November 2021, Spears has been active on social media. She often shares dance videos and writes detailed notes to her followers. She also penned a memoir titled The Woman In Me, which swiftly rose to bestseller status.
