There’s just one problem: The incident never happened.
The woman, named Erin Wright, took to TikTok to reveal why American Airlines allegedly banned her from flying with the airline without making her aware of the situation. “I got permanently banned from flying American Airlines for having sexual relations with a man on a plane even though I’m a lesbian,” Wright stated.

The woman explained how she found she was banned from American Airlines while trying to board her flight to New Orleans for her sister’s bachelorette party. She had originally tried to check in herself but kept receiving error messages. She then asked the ticket agent at the airport to assist her.
“The [ticket agent] looks nervous,” Erin explained. “And she’s like, ma’am, I’m really sorry to tell you this, but you’ve actually been banned from flying American Airlines. I was like ‘What? I’ve never done anything.’”
“I email them a very serious email, but also somewhat funny,” she said. “Because in it I am like, ‘I don’t really know how to prove it wasn’t me except for the fact that I am literally a lesbian.'”
Wright’s mother also emailed the airline to help with the situation. She was finally removed from the no-fly list. However, things didn’t end there. The airline still didn’t refund her $400. “So now I’m off the American Airlines permanent no-fly list, also out a $1,000 but they did refund me the $400 flight,” Wright noted.
“Thanks for being the worst,” Wright directly said to American Airlines.
The whole ordeal took three months to fix.
The Woman Shares a New Update About Being Banned From American Airlines
Following her initial video, Erin Wright uploaded an update about the situation, adding what American Airlines told her.
“When they called to tell me they were taking me off the no-fly list, they said, ‘I hope this wasn’t too much of an inconvenience,’” Erin stated. “Oh, you mean the last three months of communication, missing my flight, getting my lawyer involved, and having to email three directors at AA to get customer relations to respond to me????”
Thankfully there’s a positive outcome to the situation. Although American Airlines hasn’t refunded her $400, Erin did recover the money she lost with the views her TikTok clip garnered. “I made pretty the exact amount that I lost,” she said. “So American Airlines doesn’t even have to make this right.”
Wright noted American Airlines has yet to contact her since the previous update on Aug.11. She plans to take action against the airliner. “I’m just really grateful for all your help and for blowing that video up,” she added. “Because it took a lot of stress off of me financially,” the content creator praised.
