I will be the first to admit that TLC's 90 Day Fiancéis my guilty pleasure. It's reality TV at its finest which means it's absolutely awful but something you can't stop watching. One of the most popular stand outs from the show right now is Big Ed. He's a 54-year-old American man who has been trying to marry his 23-year-old Filipino girlfriend, Rosemarie. Ah yes, the age difference is enough to make you cringe, but Big Ed’s appearance has been a huge part of the debate as well. As RuinMyWeek first reported, looks aren't everything, but there is some confusion here.

According to StreamingWars, Big Ed has Klippel-Feil syndrome, a congenital condition that causes the vertebrae to fuse. This is why he appears to have a very short neck. Ed has struggled with his condition, saying, “I have a bigger than normal chest cavity, so I’ve been made fun of my whole life, and when I was in high school, I actually got stuck in the neck machine.”

But don't feel too bad for him, Big Ed posted some thirsty #tbt on Instagram that can verify he used to be quite the catch (even though he's not that great of a person...no spoilers, watch the show). But his captions prove his sense of humor is still very much his driving force.

Crazy, right? Big Ed was once BUILT, and he captions that at the time he did major cardio, writing, “With throw back to raising Tiffany, we would bike 20 miles a day..!” Bruh, I can't even think about biking 20 miles. Way to go, Big Ed.

And here we have a smolder paired with a caption blaming his marriage for his current appearance.

And Big Ed sure knew how to dress! Looking quite dapper in his bow tie.

Maybe he used these pictures on the site he met Rose on.
