The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are two shows that have a special ability to draw in the craziest contestants.
There was Trish Schneider from season seven of The Bachelor who showed up on one of Bachelor Jesse's dates after she'd been eliminated... and slipped him her hotel key.
That's pretty wild, and basically the sort of craziness we sign up for when we watch either The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. Despite our high tolerance for general nuttiness, one Bachelorette contestant this season has taken a deep dive into the depths of insanity.
Lincoln Adim, who's already not a favorite contestant thanks to a groping charge he attained days before production on the show began, had an interesting argument with his fellow contestants. He challenged them to show him proof that the Earth, the planet we all know and love, was actually round, not flat as he suspected. He then dropped this gem on the rest of the guys, no doubt expecting them to instantly bow down to his clearly superior intellect: "When you look out of a plane, everything is flat. And why does the water not fall on all humankind if it's on top of us?" This is clearly a man who has been on a plane and looked at a globe. What a scholar.
To really bring home his point, Lincoln pulled out some third-grade science terms out of his lexicon, possibly hoping that if he strung enough of them together, the other guys would become so intimidated by his scientific knowledge that they'd just drop the whole thing, although he's actually the one who inexplicably broached the topic in the first place.
Bachelorette fans penned their opinions of Lincoln's flat Earth theory, not holding back one little bit.
We all know that Becca got the rough end of the stick during her last stint on The Bachelor, so we're all hoping her second go-round goes a lot better, but if this is an example of the caliber of guys the show managed to scrounge up for her...well, we might be seeing her again next season.
