The world was introduced to world-class gymnast Simone Biles when she was barely a teenager. But now, Biles is known as the most decorated gymnast of all time.
Last May, Biles tied the knot with Chicago Bears player Jonathan Owens in Cabos, St. Lucas. In a wedding anniversary post celebrating their first year together, the Olympic Gold Medalist revealed that she “blacked out” on the night before their big day.

“Momma Biles is probably telling me I need to eat before I black out,” she explained in the post. “Which would have been good advice about 3 hrs before this.”
She went on to admit that she “did indeed blackout” which ultimately ended her night early.
Simone Opens Up About Jonathan Owens Interview
Things seem to be peachy between the couple. But last year Owens came under fire because of the comments he made about Biles during an interview.
“Really, how did she pull me is the question? I’ve always thought the man is the prize,” Owens said.
That led to a firestorm of backlash hurled at the Bears’ safety.
“So, whenever he did that interview, I thought everything was OK. And then I go on Twitter, and everybody’s like, ‘Divorce this man, he’s mean.’ I’m like, he’s the sweetest. He praises the ground that I walk on. Truly, I’ve never met a man like him,” she said.
“He never said I wasn’t a catch. He said he was a catch because he is. I’ve never met a man like him. A lot of people that meet him are like, ‘Oh my gosh, I want a man like that.”
Biles also noted that she initially found humor in the backlash that Owens received. But it eventually began to take a toll on her.
“So I thought it was hilarious at first and then they hurt my feelings,” she added. “One night, I broke down and I’m like, why are you guys talking about my husband like this? You don’t know him, you don’t know who he is, and if anybody’s met him, they know he’s the sweetest guy and will do anything for anybody.”
