Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is begging Angelina Jolie to let her make friends, according to a report. Gossip Cop, however, can reveal the truth.
On its website, OK! is announcing in a headline on Tuesday, “Angelina Jolie’s Daughter Shiloh Desperately Wants To Make Friends.” The accompanying article alleges Shiloh “spends way too much time with her five siblings,” and is tired of her social circle being limited to her brothers and sisters. “Shiloh’s a very outgoing person who is being drowned out by her siblings,” a so-called “source” is quoted as saying.
“She wants to have friends of her own and be able to go to the movies with them or have sleepovers,” the tabloid’s supposed snitch goes on to claim. “She’s very frustrated right now being cooped up all the time and says her favorite place in the world is Namibia and Cambodia, where she bonded with a bunch of kids her own age while Angie was filming.”
The gossip magazine’s alleged tipster adds, “It’s really tough for these kids who are rarely in the same place for long, so they’re unable to develop decent friendships. Shiloh’s really feeling it at the moment.” The outlet further alleges, “Willow Smith wanted to befriend Shiloh, but Angie nixed that due to their association with the Kardashians.” But there’s a number of flaws in these claims.
First off, Smith is 16, and will be turning 17 this fall. Shiloh just turned 11. It makes no sense for them to be hanging out. It also doesn’t make sense for the publication and its “source” to contend that Shiloh is “frustrated” with being “cooped up all the time.” In the first six months of 2017, she’s traveled to Cambodia, London and Ethiopia. And when in Los Angeles, she’s gone to Disneyland and the La Brea tar pits, in addition heading out on a number of shopping trips.
What’s more is that while checking out those two California hot spots, Shiloh was joined by a group of friends, a number of whom were actually from Cambodia. OK! is falsely giving readers the impression that she is forced to be at home at all times and has no interaction with other people. That is a very inaccurate picture. In fact, in Jolie’s Vanity Fair cover story, which came out last week, it’s specifically said how Shiloh and her siblings have “playdates,” and it was even noted that, at the time of the interview, Vivienne had just returned “with a friend, having just been at a sleepover.”
What, are readers supposed to believe Vivienne is allowed to have friends and go to sleepovers, but Shiloh is not? Like the other claims, that one doesn’t make sense either. Shiloh and her siblings may not be able to go places as easily as non-famous kids, but it seems like the tabloid took that idea and ran with it without bothering to do any additional research. Of course, all this is coming from the same magazine that made up a cover story last November about Shiloh pushing Jolie and Brad Pitt to have a Thanksgiving reunion. Gossip Cop is told the outlet has zero real insight on the Jolie-Pitt family.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
