In TMZ’s documentary The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, spoke about the disgraced rap mogul’s mindset while imprisoned at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn. The rapper was arrested by federal agents in New York City earlier this month.
Agnifilo stated that Combs continues to be positive and does not let the indictment weaken him in any way.
Agnifilo then pointed out that Diddy is now focused on his defense, which is giving him strength and confidence to help him through his time in jail.
While he remains behind bars, Sean “Diddy” Combs is housed in the Special Housing Unit, which keeps him out of the general population at the Metropolitan Detention Center. Although he was previously on suicide watch, his legal team stated he was not suicidal.
Agnifilo explaiend that Diddy has come to terms with the fact that the prison will be his home for a while. He is thinking more productively with the mindset of “Don’t tell me what I did wrong, tell me what I do next.”
Agnifilo also said in the documentary that Diddy is eager to testify. “I don’t know that I could keep him off the stand,” Agnifilo continued.
Diddy was previously charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
A status hearing for his trial is set for Oct. 9.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Attorney Says He Will Tell Every Part of His Story in Court
Meanwhile, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorney stated the rapper is ready to share his side of what happened during his notorious parties. This includes discussing the alleged “Freak Offs” inside his residences.
Diddy is planning to talk about the security video of him assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel lobby.
“I think he will tell every part of his story,” Agnifilo said. “Including what you see on the video.”
“He has his story,” Agnifilo said. “And he has a story that I think only he can tell in the way he can tell it in real time. It’s a human story. It’s a story of love, it’s a story of hurt, it’s a story of heartbreak. When he describes that relationship, the word he uses more than any other word is heartbreak. He was heartbroken. She was heartbroken.”
Combs’ attorney also shared his thoughts about the 1,000 baby oil bottles that were discovered in the rapper’s home.
“I’m not really sure what the baby oil has to do with anything,” Agnifilo shared. “I don’t know what you need 1,000—one bottle of baby oil goes a long way. I don’t know what you’d even need 1,000 for.”
