Ginna Dix, the wife of Maine Cabin Masters star Matt “Dixie” Dix, has passed away at the age of 48.

The Magnolia Network show’s official Instagram account shared a post on Wednesday, February 5, announcing the unexpected passing of Ginna Dix on Saturday.
“We are heartbroken to announce the unexpected passing of Ginna Dix,” the caption read alongside candid snapshots of Dix. “Beloved wife of Dixie, God Daughter to [Dixie’s co-star] Ryan [Eldridge]’s parents, and friend to so many. Ginna was a huge part of the Maine Cabin Masters family and will be missed tremendously.”
“We thank you all for your love and support, but ask that you give the Maine Cabin Masters team privacy at this time,” the post concluded.
The post features a collection of photos capturing moments from Ginna’s life, including nostalgic snapshots of her and Dixie in their younger days, as well as charming pictures of the couple posing with their beloved dogs.
Fans rushed to the comments of the post to share their condolences following the passing of Ginna Dix.
“My heart goes out to Dixie and the rest of the Maine Cabin Masters crew. So sorry for your loss,” one fan wrote. “So very sorry to Dixie, friends, family and the entire cabin master team,” a second fan echoed. “Prayers with you all during this heartbreaking time,” a third mourner added.

Ginna and Matt first met in 2000 and tied the knot a year later on Sept. 22, 2001, per her obituary.
She pursued her nursing education at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire before dedicating several years to working as a registered nurse in Maine. In 2018, Ginna earned her master’s degree from Purdue University, advancing her career as a skilled nurse practitioner.
Her obituary does not disclose the cause of her passing. However, it highlights that she was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her death at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
