According to TMZ, a person wandered onto the property in the early hours of Wednesday, prompting police to be called to the scene.
The suspect had been seen on camera roaming around the backyard. They were described as a white man with a red beard and long hair. He was also wearing a gray tracksuit.
Sources close to the situation told the media outlet that the trespasser was arrested at the scene.
Minaj herself was reportedly not home at the time of the incident.
Minaj and Her Husband Were Recently Ordered to Pay $500,000 to Former Security Guard
The trespasser incident comes just after the rapper and her husband, Kenneth Petty, were ordered to pay approximately $500,000 to a former security guard, Thomas Weidenmuller.
Weidenmuller accused Petty of assault during a 2019 concert in Germany. He claimed that Petty attacked him backstage at a concert in Frankfurt after he intervened in a dispute between Minaj and another security guard.
It was reported that Petty had struck Weidenmuller, leading to severe jaw injuries that required surgery. Weidenmuller pointed out that he was hospitalized for more than a week after the alleged assault. He later underwent reconstructive procedures to place metal plates and donor bone grafts.
He had previously sought $700,000 in damages, but was awarded $503,318.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge was to authorize the sale of Minaj’s $20 million Hidden Hills mansion after she and Petty missed making the payment. However, Minaj paid the entire sum to avoid the sale.
“She has satisfied the judgment,” the guard’s attorney, Paul Saso, confirmed. “It happened at the very last moment.”
“I wanted to make sure we got this right,” Judge Pánuco stated. “This was a significant enforcement issue, and I’m glad it was resolved in a way that makes sense for all parties involved.”
Saso shared after the case was resolved, “It took a long time to reach this point. But the judgment has finally been honored.”
Minaj and Petty have been married since 2019 and have one child together.
