Orlando Bloom and Nina Dobrev are not dating, despite a speculative report. Gossip Cop can exclusively reveal what’s really going on. We’re told romance rumors are wrong.
After Bloom and Dobrev were supposedly spotted “looking extra friendly” this week, HollywoodLife jumped to the conclusion there’s a romance blossoming. “New couple alert?” asks the clueless site, asserting the stars were “looking pretty cozy” as they left the premiere of The Promise on Wednesday. The webloid wonders if Bloom is “pursuing” Dobrev, because they “looked like that wasn’t the first time they’d taken a sweet walk together.”
“There must’ve been love in the air in LA,” the outlet ridiculously contends. The webloid goes on to note that Bloom and Dobrev were actually separated on their stroll by an “unidentified woman,” who “resembled producer, Aleen Keshishian, who is also the manager of Selena Gomez.” The site opines, “Now, this just got very interesting.”
No, it really didn’t. If HollywoodLies, as it’s known, had bothered to investigate, it would’ve known for sure that the woman in question is indeed Keshishian. And if the webloid did any research, it would’ve known Bloom and Dobrev are both her clients. Due to sharing a manager, Gomez and Bloom have occasionally ended up at the same events, sparking relationship rumors. That’s now exactly what’s happening with Dobrev.
Both she and Bloom only stepped out that night to hang out with Keshishian, an insider exclusively tells Gossip Cop, explaining that the actors have been pals for years thanks to the manager. There’s nothing more salacious to it, despite HollywoodLies’ breathless report, which was really quite exaggerated. And even though the repeatedly discredited site alleges Bloom and Dobrev were “pretty cozy” and acting “extra friendly,” photos show they weren’t even next to each other on the walk.
In other words, HollywoodLies ran a sensational story without bothering to fact-check, even though there wasn’t real evidence to support its “love” assertions. The webloid instead chose to jump to conclusions, as it so often does, including with its many untrue stories romantically linking Bloom and Gomez. And while Gossip Cop busted the outlet for those tall tales, we’ve also called out the blog for its misinformation about Dobrev, such as claiming she was joining “Dancing with the Stars.”
It’s also worth mentioning Gossip Cop previously busted Us Weekly in 2014 for falsely alleging Dobrev and Bloom were seen kissing. At the time, we correctly reported they were just friends, and time has proven us right. In fact, three years ago was the first and only time they even posed for a photo together (see above). We have little doubt time will once again bolster our attention to accurate reporting.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
