Kids do the darndest things. Some kids repeat phrases you wish they wouldn't, some kids are loud, then there are kids who do $1,300 worth of damage to a makeup display while their mom shops at Sephora. Well, one kid. A Sephora store employee recently took to Twitter to expose the dangers of letting kids roam around makeup stores unattended and the internet is aghast at the sheer amount of destruction one small kid was able to do in such a short amount of time.
Most people agreed that if you're going to bring your kid to the store with you, you have to keep a close eye on them. After all, it only takes a few seconds for them to do some serious damage. Even if your kid is a perfect angel, there's no telling what they'll do if they can get their hands on a makeup palette. That's when your little angel will reveal that they have a little demon in them, too.
Moms, of course, had the most to say about it. It was their reputation, after all, that was on the line. A ton of them agreed that the problem wasn't the fact that the kid was in the store in the first place, but the fact that the mother clearly wasn't paying attention to her child. If it had been up to these moms, they would have had a very stern talk with their kid before they even got to the store.
Other people had similar reactions, but they clearly weren't parents, because they seemed genuinely surprised at the amount of destruction. They were absolutely horrified by what they saw, which is easy to understand if you're a true lover of makeup.
One thing's for sure, if there's a kid in Sephora, everyone, employees and customers alike, are going to be way more vigilant than ever before. Here's a tip for all those kids: keep your hands in your pocket and everything will be just fine.
