A source close to the situation revealed to The US Sun that the “retreat” Paul took during the Mormon Wives Season 3 premiere was more than she had described on the show.
The reality TV show’s production team had actually set up the trip after Paul and Mortensen got into a physical altercation.
“Dakota pretty much said, ‘We’ve got to do something about this, or we’re not going to film,” the insider alleged.
However, the source said that when Paul returned, she acted as though nothing had happened. The show was able to film the third season without further interruptions.
The type of treatment Paul underwent has not been revealed.
The new information comes just after Mortensen revealed there was a physical altercation between him and Paul in 2024.
The now-exes previously addressed the 2023 altercation that led to Paul’s arrest. Paul and Mortensen had multiple altercations in late February, prompting local law enforcement to launch an investigation into both of them.
The production of season 5 of Mormon Wives was halted after the altercations made headlines. Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was shelved days before its premiere after TMZ released a video of the 2023 incident.
Taylor Frankie Paul Resurfaces on Social Media
A little more than a week after her season of The Bachelorette was canceled, Paul resurfaced on social media.
“I was just playing around and found I kinda like this,” Paul wrote in an Instagram post, which featured a video of her playing the piano. The reality TV star/MomTok influencer wore a hoodie and faced away from the camera while playing.
Fellow Mormon Wives castmate Demi Engemann wrote in the post’s comment section, “So therapeutic.”
To which Paul wrote, “Thank you for checking in on me as much as you have and for the wellness gift. You and [castmate] Jessi [Draper], I’ll never forget, didn’t leave my side at my lowest.”
Draper previously spoke about Paul during her appearance on the podcast Call Her Daddy. “I don’t like to judge someone in their darkest moment,” she explained. “I don’t wanna judge the person, I’ll judge the mistake.”
She then pointed out, “And Taylor really has made a lot of changes, and that’s what’s so hard for me. This is my real friend, and she does have a really good heart, and I love her so much.”
