Megyn Kelly is not “hiding” a “$1.4 million plastic surgery transformation,” despite an outrageous tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the crazy report, which we’re told stinks like “garbage.”
The new cover of the National Enquirer blares, “Megyn Kelly: What She’s Hiding!” Among the things the journalist has supposedly kept hidden, according to the front of the issue, is a “$1.4 million plastic surgery transformation!” Inside the edition, a headline declares, “Makeover Megyn’s Rise To Queen Of Mean!”
According to the supermarket tabloid, Kelly put a “troubled past behind her with hair dye, scalpel and raging ambition!” The article specifically alleges the TV personality has an “addiction to plastic surgery,” and “transformed herself from a blubbery redhead” to a “svelte blond bombshell.” The outlet asserts she’s “blown upwards of $1.4 million on cosmetic procedures in a bid to be camera-ready!”
“Megyn just can’t get enough plastic surgery,” a so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, maintaining, “She looks like she’s had so much done, and there’s no end in sight. It seems she plans to keep getting procedures, like fillers, Botox and other work, indefinitely.”
Yet because the publication has no hard evidence to back up its contentions, it resorts to citing a doctor who has never met Kelly, but nevertheless guesses what procedures she’s supposedly had done. It’s all part of a hit piece that sensationalizes the former Fox News host’s divorce, her sister’s criminal past, and her clashes with Donald Trump.
And it seems the tabloid purposefully timed this cover story to hit newsstands just days before Kelly’s new NBC news show premieres this weekend. It’s also telling that the only “before” photo the magazine has to offer to support its “transformation” assertions is a decades-old yearbook picture. Obviously Kelly is going to look different now that she’s 46 years old.
It’s “all garbage,” Kelly’s rep tells Gossip Cop exclusively. That’s hardly surprising since the shameless outlet negatively used the broadcaster in last week’s issue, too, for a story ridiculously claiming Matt Lauer has been warned not to cheat on his wife with her. It’s almost like the pro-Trump publication has an anti-Kelly agenda. Who woulda thunk it?
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
